Dr. Ravindra D. Gudi is a Full Professor at Department of Chemical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay.

He holds a PhD from the University of Alberta (1995). His research interests lie in the areas of

  • Control relevant identification
  • Nonlinear identification
  • Scheduling and decision support
  • Fault classification and accommodation
  • Optimal control of Fermentation processes

He is a recipient of the following Awards/Honors

  • Canadian Commonwealth Fellowship by the Government of Canada (1991-1995)
  • Member, International Program Committee for the IFAC Symposium on Adaptive Control of Chemical Processes (ADCHEM’97) held in June 1997 at Banff, Alberta, Canada
  • Visiting Professorship, Department of Chemical Engineering, University of Alberta, Canada, May 1997- July 1997
  • Lovraj Kumar Memorial Award for promotion of Industry Academia Interaction, (July 1998- January 1999)
  • Lovraj Kumar Industry Academia Exchange Fellowship from August 1998 to January 1999
  • Member, International Program Committee for the International Conference on Computer Applications in Biotechnology held in Quebec, Canada in June 2001

Dr. Gudi has published 42 Journal papers and has filed three US patents in various areas of process systems engineering.
