Dr. S. N. Mukhopadhyay is Professor at the Department of BioChemical Engineering & BioTechnology at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi, INDIA.

Formerly, he was the Head of BERC, IIT Delhi and 2nd National Project Director of UNDP Project and Principal Investigator in Mission Project.

He has been a Visiting Expert Scientist at LANFI, Mexico and SFIT, Zurich, Switzerland; Visiting Professor at CI EA del. IPN, Mexico; JSPS Fellow at Osaka University, Japan; Member I.I.Che; Overseas Associate (Govt. of INDIA) at CALTECH, Chemical Engineering Department, USA & FNAE, INDIA; Member of UNDP Study Tour, Lehigh University, Bethlehem, USA; Member, UCHC, Cardiovascular Division, Farmington, USA; Member, IOBB, Guatemala (Invited); Fulbright Fellow, at UCHC, USA; Member, N.Y.A.S. USA; Member ABI, USA (Invited); Selected to receive membership of AAAS, USA; Invited Visiting Scientist, Tomas Bata University, Zlin, Czech. Republic.

Dr. S. N.Mukhopadhyay has been invited with a honorary appointment to International Division of Research Board of Advisors, ABI, USA.He has also been nominated Honorary Member to the Board of Directors, ABI, North Carolina, USA

He is a Life Member of I.I.Ch.E and elected Life Fellow of I.I.Ch.E.

He is enlisted as a member of the International Biographical Center, Cambridge, England (IBC) Leading Engineers of the World 2007.He is also enlisted for “Shiksha Rattan Puraskar” of IIFS (India International Friendship Society) in 2007.He has been selected and nominated for International Engineering of the year 2008 by IBC, Cambridge, England.

He has authored 4 books, published by CRC Press, Florida, USA, Viva Books Pvt. Ltd., New Delhi, INDIA.He has also authored Experimental Process Biotechnology Protocols, published by Viva Books.He holds more than 131 publications to his name.
